13th Street Scare
By Cecilia Copeland

Logline: Clara arrives in New York City as an aspiring acting intern at 13TH ST SCARE Theater, the longest-running Horror Theatre in America, where she is offered the role of a lifetime. But the starring part comes with a permanent pair of fangs...

DESCRIPTION
Clara comes to New York for her internship at The Scare, a horror-themed theater on 13th Street. The Scare is run by Stella, a charismatic woman who casts Clara as the starring role in a play about Judith of Bethulia.

Performing the heroic Jewish lead is a dream come true for Clara, but she’ll need to join a midnight ritual to win the approval of The Scare’s spirits. At the ritual, Clara starts having visions she later learns are from the play. She is seeing through Judith’s eyes. Suddenly, Clara wakes up on opening night unable to remember the last five weeks. Oh, and she’s a vampire now.

If she performs in the show, it will complete her transformation. Terrified and heartbroken, Clara runs away. Stella swoops in, confesses she is Judith, and gets Clara to reconsider. Being a vampire is more than drinking blood. It’s healing and fighting tyranny like Judith did in her mortal life. Clara decides to stay. She completes her transformation and joins the Scare family of vampires.

TV Pilot: TALTRIX
By Cecilia Copeland
Based on SURVIVING THE GAUNTLET (Book One)
TALTRIX Series by Cecilia Copeland
In the year 5514, what we would call magic has evolved into dark biodynamics. RT, short for Redder Torch, is on her way to Taltrix, the most prestigious space cruiser university in all three regions of colonized space. She's reuniting with her older brother Avi, and together they hope to find safety, far from the shadow of their father and his dangerous legacy.

Grave Torch, their father, is a notorious criminal held in a supermax prison after the Final Wars when he kidnapped his children and made a desperate claim: that RT was the unifier of the multiverse, a prophesized figure in the ancient tenets of dark biodynamic research. Since then, everyone has an opinion on RT-many of them hostile. Her only true ally is her brother, but his girlfriend's hidden agenda threatens to drive a wedge between them.

Every year, Taltrix students must prove themselves by running the gauntlet on the mercenary training planet Keplar Neptune. When RT steps into the gauntlet, the entire galaxy tunes in to watch. If she fails, she'll lose her powers-and her life. But if she survives, it will validate her father's prophecy, risking a resurgence of the wars that once tore the galaxy apart. RT must embrace her destiny while fighting to survive. But when her father rigs the gauntlet against her, will she prove her father right and ignite a new war, or will she find a way to forge her own path? The future of the galaxy hangs in the balance.
